How to obtain a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain?
Spain, with its high standard of living, rich cultural traditions, warm climate, and picturesque nature, is an attractive destination for those working remotely in digital telecommunications and IT technologies.
The Digital Nomad Visa provides the opportunity for extended stays in Spain. It is much easier to obtain than any other document granting the right to live in the country.

According to Law 28/2-2022 on startups, applicants aged 18 and above who meet the following requirements may apply:
- Do not have EU citizenship.
- Hold a higher education degree from a prestigious university or have at least three years of relevant work experience in Spanish or foreign companies as an entrepreneur, freelancer, self-employed, or employee.
- Are officially employed by a company operating in the market for over a year.
- Are registered in Spain (own or rent accommodation) and have medical insurance.
- Earn at least 200% of the minimum wage in Spain.
- Do not have any criminal records in Spain or the country of residence within five years before applying.
WHERE TO APPLY
Submit the applications to the Spanish consulate in your country of citizenship or residence. The documents must be translated into Spanish with the assistance of accredited sworn translators.
APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME AND VISA VALIDITY
The Digital Nomad Visa application will be processed in about ten days. Digital nomads and their family members receive a freelancer visa for 12 months, followed by a nomad residence permit (Residencia de No-Mad) in Spain for three years.
